It is now Feb. 23, 2022
Well, here goes. Every Sundsy afternoon for lunch, I go to the
Pillay’s house for lunch just to be with a family (they have taken legal
custody of thm….one 16 and the other 13, as the parent (Net’s son) isn’t really
able to look after them properly. The young one is super beautiful and very
sharp, while the older is also very good looking but is ont so sharp and needs
looking after. The hormones are beginning to act. The young one doesn’t Realize
how beautiful she is yet. They act like two true sister, bickering with each
other from time to time. The young one, Amelia, likes to take over her dad’s phone when she can,
and finishes off the data in no time. Our data is very expensive compared to
America.
Feb.
1. I had an appointment with my
neurologist. I told him that the spasms were working overtime so he gave a
scrip for some quinine and some magnesium. Ai tried it for 2 weeks and didn’t
see any big improvement so I stopped. But the rear purpose of the visit was to
see the possibility of Botox. It is supposed to get to the nerve center and not
just to be treating the symptoms. But it is very expensive, maybe too
expensive, we shall see. I want to make another appointment early next month.
Ha partner,
Dr. Staub is the local guru regarding when and
how to use Botox. It is by injection and last for 2 or 3 months and then needs
another injection. I know that none of
my parishioners could ever afford it so why should I think of it. That’s all
for now. See you tomorrow, if my will power holds up.
I just
wrote a small reflection on this coming
Sunday’s reading which said, among other things, how can you take the speck out of your neighbor’s
eye when you have a huge log in your own eye. Yes, we can’t see our own blind
spots. And I find that, as Lent approaches----next week is Ash Wednesday….I
still have lots of work to do to be able to claim to at least trying to be a
half way decent Christian.
I must put this in the blog now or it will be
subject to my procrastination (another of the things I have to work on. Ha.
